AS - A2 Summer project. The Best of!

Drawing!

Tracing
This is the tracing I did over a picture of Ed because I am not a very good drawer so trying to draw Ed Sheeran was a problem because I would've just changed his whole look. Also, in drawing him, I could use the colours to see how he looked in pink and yellow too (although the yellow is hard to see on here). Someone has given me the idea to merge these all together and then I would have a mixed line of the different colours to even make it into a trademark of Ed Sheerans work alongside the actual logo.
Illustrator live traced
I really like this live tracing done on Illustrator because it gives the tracing I did on tracing paper a more of a person-feel and it also just gave me the chance to colour in specific areas of the picture to give it an interesting look instead of a fine-liner look to it. I really enjoyed doing this because it was a nice change to what I do generally. In thinking of my Summer project, I think I could do a similar idea to this and use it for my project.

Mixed Media!
Using different items for creating this picture
This mixed media piece is interesting because I took the lyric "I wanna be drunk when I wake up' and turned it into this meaning of where he's gone completely crazy, shooting red laser (red glitter) from his eyes to a phone that in his hand and that's being pointed at by a cursor. This could be all in his mind and that he's gone completely mad, a.k.a Drunk. I don't know why I put a bow in his hair, I just thought that when people get drunk they do stupid things and believe stupid things, like putting bows in your hair or something along these lines.

Typography!

Many variations of using many materials
Here I have used different mediums to create this page related to Ed Sheeran. I have used acrylic pain mainly, in doing the dots in the corners and just different designs. I used finger painting to do the paw prints and the number '8' where Grade 8 is in the bottom right hand corner. I highly enjoyed using glitter in the middle of the page to make the words Small Bump but this was a problem because I put cling flim over the top however, it seemed to make things worse and you can only tell out the word 'Bump' The colours I used were Purple, Green, Blue and Gold. I really enjoyed letting my creativity out on this and I would totally go for it again if I was to 'colour' something in.
